POWER OF GLASS

For POWER OF GLASS, seven creatives from the fields of visual arts, architecture and design presented experimental works in glass for the first time at the Studios van Treeck. The artists were asked to experiment with glass as a material.

When selecting the artists, it was important that they had never or hardly ever used glass in their previous work. Working with the material could be seen as a challenge and inspiration without restrictions, resulting in installations, editions, single pieces, prototypes, protagonists and interior design.

Glass as an interdisciplinary material unfolds its full power in the visions and new works of Murkudis, Haase, Davidoff, Leitna, Man, von Gaza and El Mac. The exhibition was on view in the workshops and the gallery in the front building from 6 December 2013 to 31 January 2014 and met with great interest.

The exhibition was further accompanied by the publication POWER OF GLASS, designed by Frederic Teschner Studio, Paris.
