New York artist Bunny Rogers has discovered the tradition of lead glazing for her art. The result is a pop triptych, a type of art glazing rarely seen:
For the work 'Lisa Bright and Dark (for Andrea), 2016', the art glaziers at Hofglasmalerei leaded together sections of fused coloured glass and cut-outs of mouth-blown glass. In this way, comic-like glass scenes were created for the Berlin gallery Societé (Galerie Societé).
With ‘Lisa Bright and Dark (for Andrea), 2016’, Bunny Rogers creates a contemporary work in traditional lead glazing technique.
