Colourful rectangles of glass and natural stone merge together to create an abstract image: The wall mosaic in the foyer of the International Meeting Centre (IBZ) in Halle is the result of an art in architecture competition at the University of Halle.
Robert Filipski and Franziska Friese, students at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle), realised their idea for a large-scale mural in the form of a mosaic in collaboration with employees of the van Treeck workshops.
